The enhancement and fixes detailed below pertain to the items included in the most recent BASCONNECTTM software release (Release 4.6).

The ability to type in search criteria in the Claims > Paper Claims > Search Criteria > Created By field was added. As you type, the available options from the drop down will filter to display only those that match the search text entered.

Added Case Time – Minutes worked (append ‘min’) option to Box 24g drop down options on the Plan: [name] / Paper Claim Options tab. Selecting this option appends “min” after the total minutes value in Box 24G on the NUCC 1500 paper claim.

 

General

The Practice is now auto-selected when creating an image, statement, charge, or payment batch when the instance contains only one practice.

 

Fee Schedules

Fee Schedules now supported at the Enterprise-level. Fee Schedules tab removed from the Practices page and added as a new Admin topic.

 

Messages

Added new Messages option to the File menu to access the Messages page.

Messages can be searched, created, viewed, updated, replied to, and archived from the Messages page.

 

Payers and Plans

The Payer ID field on the Plan: [ID] / Claims tab was updated to display the drop down list options in alphabetical order.

Sort order for procedures on an electronic claim can now be set to sort first by provider and then by procedure type. This preference is set by selecting the Group procedures by provider on claim option on the Plan: [name] > Anesthesia tab.

A new option, Generate one claim per provider, was added to the Plan: [name] > Anesthesia tab. If selected, the claim generation process will generate a new claim for each rendering provider on the case.

 

Payment Batches

Added “contains” search logic to the following fields on the Payment Batches > Search Criteria window:

  • Check Number
  • Remitter Name

Practices

Added the ability to affiliate referring providers to practices and facilities.

The Referring Physician drop down filter on the Coding window and General Case Information tab was modified to only return referring physicians associated with the selected practice and facility.

New Type toggle button with options for Practice and Referring added to the Practice / Affiliated Providers and Facility / Affiliated Providers tabs to filter the providers listed.

 

Reports

New tabs added to Manage > Reports page: Scheduled and Output. These tabs are used to schedule report execution and view the output.

New permissions tab, Reports – Scheduling, added to Role [ID] page for assigning the ability to create, update, and/or delete scheduled report jobs by user role.

 

Reports - Scheduling

Report jobs can be scheduled for specific or recurring times.

The maximum number of scheduled jobs allowed is set to 10. A message is returned to users if they attempt to create a job after the maximum has been met.

Account Status field updated to Active Account checkbox. If checked, the account is Active.

Administrator field updated to Administrator checkbox. If checked, account is set as an Administrator.

New Reset Password (ALT+R) button added to the User: [Name] page to access the Reset Password window.
