Complete this task to transfer an external collection transaction from external collections to active AR.

Only one external collection transaction can be reversed at a time. 

The external collection transaction reversal is recorded as RVCOL activity code on the external collection transaction in external collections and on the service fee line of the guarantor account in active AR. If the practice is configured for accounting dates, the Accounting Date option is included on the Reverse External Collection Transaction window.

From the External Collections / Transactions tab, search and select the Practice to which the external collection transaction(s) is associated.


2Select the external collection transaction to be reversed.

Click Reverse. The Reverse External Collection Transaction window opens.


4Review the Transaction Details to verify the information presented and the external collection transaction being reversed is correct.



5Enter the Accounting Date to be used.
If your practice is not configured for accounting dates, the Accounting Date option is unavailable.
6Enter a reason for the reversal in the Note field.
7Click OK.

The reversal transaction is recorded as the RVCOL activity code on the external collection transaction in external collections and on the service fee line of the guarantor account in active AR.

Click Cancel to make no changes and close the window.
