Overview

The Scan Batches tab is used to manage case and payment scan batches containing image sets related to cases or payments. For example, an anesthesia record or encounter form is related to a charge and would be scanned into an image set of a case scan batch. The explanation of benefits (EOB) is related to a payment and would be scanned into an image set of a payment scan batch. Images can either be from scanned documents or from images of another source (for example, e-mail) that have been imported into an image set.

Use the Scan Batches table to manage scan batches:

  • Verify the current status of a charge or payment scan batch
  • Create scan batches for cases/charges or payments
  • Update an unposted case or payment scan batch
  • Delete an unposted case or payment scan batch
  • Post a case or payment scan batch

How to Get Here?

  • Click Image Batches from the Manage list.
  • Open the Manage menu and select Image Batches.
  • Press [Alt] + [M] + [B].

You can filter the case or payment scan batches in the list by Batch Status. By default, this filter is set to Any, indicating all scan batches, regardless of the batch status, are listed. To filter the list of scan batches, select either Posted or Unposted. The contents of the table refreshes to show only those charge or payment scan batches with the status you select.

  1. Click Search. The Search Criteria window opens.
  2. Enter search criteria.
  3. Click OK.
