The Statement Batches page contains a list of existing statement batches and is used to generate statement batches for the statements that can be generated or to print the statements in a statement batch.
Once a statement batch is created, statements are generated based on the rules defined at the practice level, and whether the plan that has financial responsibility for the claim allows statements to be sent to the guarantor. Statement rules determine when statements are generated and for which accounts they are generated.
Statements are automatically generated when the following conditions are true:
The guarantor is financially responsible for the account.
The plan allows statements to be sent to the guarantor.
The account is not flagged to hold statements.
The practice allows statements to be generated under the following conditions:
For service fee lines that have a credit balance.
For accounts that have a credit balance, a zero balance or a balance less than the specified amount.
For accounts in collection status.
If any of the conditions are false, statements are not generated and a statement batch is not created.
If a statement batch is successfully created, the following message appears: Statement batch created. When the process is completed, the newly created statement batch is listed on the Statement Batches page.
If there are no statements to be generated, the following message appears: No statements are available for batching.
