Overview
The Providers page is used to add, update, or delete providers.
Field Definitions
Field | Type | Required | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Filters | Filter | No | Allows the list of providers to be filtered by Name and NPI. As you type, the providers in the list are filtered to show only those that match what was typed. To restore the list to all providers, clear the contents of the filters. |
ID | Read-Only (System Generated) | Yes | The unique identification number the software assigns to the provider. This number is used for Anesthesia Quality Institute cross referencing and crosswalk purposes. |
Provider Name | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | Yes | The name of the provider established in the provider configuration. |
Specialty | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | No | The field of medicine the provider specializes in, for example, Anesthesiology, General Practice, and Urology. |
NPI | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | Yes | The national provider identification number of the provider. Either the NPI or SSN for the provider is required. |
UPIN | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | No | The unique provider identification number. |
Can Provide | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | Yes | Specifies whether the provider is affiliated to practices. If the provider is affiliated with practices, you can select the practices from the Practice Affiliations list on the Practice: [name] page. |
Can Refer | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Providers) | Yes | The flag to indicate the provider can refer patients to other providers. |

View Attachment | Open the Image Viewer page to display or add an attachment. |
If the provider has any attachments, open the Set ID drop down list and select the attachment to view. If no attachments currently exist, a new attachment can be added to the provider record by scanning or importing the image and attaching it. |
