Use this task to update a procedure (pseudo) code.

| 1 | From the Procedure Codes page, select the procedure code to be modified. | |
| 2 | Click Update. The Procedure Code window opens with the code's information populated.
Update the relevant information via the applicable steps below... | Only pseudo codes can be updated. The code details will be read-only when the Procedure Code window opens for a system procedure code. |
| 3 | Enter the pseudo code in the Code field. | |
| 4 | Enter a Short Description of the code. | |
| 5 | (Optional) Enter a Long Description of the code. | |
| 6 | Open the Code Year drop down list and select the year in which the code is to be used. | The Expires field defaults to selected. The pseudo code requires an expiration date, so the field should remain checked. |
| 7 | (Optional) Enter the anesthesia base units in the ASA BU field. | |
| 8 | (Optional) Enter the relative value units in the appropriate field(s): Work, Malpractice, Facility, and Non Facility. | |
| 9 | Click Save to save and close the page. | Click the Save & Add Next field if you are entering more than one pseudo code. |
