Overview
The Procedure Categories page is used to add, update, or delete procedure categories. It is divided into the following sections:

Procedure Categories is an alphabetical list of the procedure categories provided in the Connect platform and the custom procedure categories you define. Each procedure category is identified by the System Category. When a procedure category is selected, the procedures associated with the procedure category are listed in the Procedure Codes section.

System Category | Read-only | Yes | The designation of a procedure category as system or user-defined. If Yes, the procedure category is system-defined. If No, the procedure category is user-defined. |

Name | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Procedure Categories) | Yes | The five-digit code that identifies the procedure code. |
Year | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Procedure Categories) | Yes | The year in which the code was released by the American Medical Association (AMA). |
Description | Display Only (pulled from created/updated Procedure Categories) | Yes | The description of the procedure code. |

Delete | [Alt] + [D] | Removes the procedure category from the master list. Only custom procedure categories can be deleted and not the ones provided in the Connect platform.
