Complete this task to print refund checks in-house.

You can specify the starting check number and whether the refund is printed individually or grouped with other refunds and printed on a single check.

Your practice must be configured to print to the correct Print Option for the Print and Reprint buttons to appear. Go to Practice: ID > Refunds tab and select the relevant Print Option.

Additional Information

1

From the Refunds page, select the transaction, or transactions, for which to print checks and click Print. The Print window opens.

Individual refund transactions are listed in a table with the following column headings:

  • Payee - person receiving the refund
  • Amount - transaction amount of the refund
2

(Optional) Select the Roll up multiple transactions to same payee on one check option.

The checkbox forces multiple refund transactions to print to an individual check. By default, this option is not selected. When selected, all transactions listed are printed to one check. You can print an unlimited number of transactions on one check.
3Enter the Starting Check Number.
The Starting Check Number is the first check you will be printing for the first refund transaction.
4Enter the Accounting date.

The Accounting date is the date to use for this transaction. If your practice is configured for accounting dates, the Accounting date option is available. If your practice is not configured for accounting dates, this option is not available and the step is skipped.

5Click Print. The Print Preview window opens with an image of the information that will be printed on the check.
6Verify the print preview image and then use the Print button on the toolbar to print the check. After printing, the Post Confirmation window opens.
7Click Yes to the confirmation message.
The refund transactions are posted. The Check Number, Performed By, and Performed At columns in the Refunds table are updated to reflect the check number entered and the person who posted the refund transaction and date/time the transaction was posted.
