Complete this task to transfer a service fee line from active AR to external collections. 

You can transfer one or more service fee lines to external collections at a time. Only service fee lines with an outstanding balance in guarantor responsibility are eligible. You cannot transfer a service fee line with a zero or credit balance. The service fee line is transferred to the pending queue of external collections and remains there until it is posted as an external collection transaction.

1	From the Act: [ID] > Active AR tab of the guarantor account, select the service fee line to transfer.	Use the Filter by DOS option to filter the service fee line items by date of service. You can either type the date in the space provided or use the Calendar Control tool by clicking the arrow and selecting the date on the calendar that appears. To include all service fee lines items, clear the date from the Filter by DOS field.
2	Click Ext. The Transfer Service Fee to External Collections window opens.
3	Enter the reason the service fee line is being transferred to external collections and any additional information about the transfer in the Note field.
4	In the Select the line items you want to move to external collections section, each service fee line eligible for transfer to external collections is listed. Click the Select checkbox of each service fee line to transfer to external collections. To transfer all displayed service fee lines, click the Select All checkbox.	If this area of the window does not appear, only one service fee line on the account is eligible for transfer.
5	Click OK. The EXCOL sub-entry code is entered on the service fee line being transferred in a pending status. The service fee line remains in the status until it is posted in external collections. In External Collections, the service fee line is transferred to the pending queue and remains there until it is posted as an external collection transaction. Upon posting, the balance of the service fee line in Active AR becomes zero. The balance of the external collection transaction becomes the amount of the outstanding balance that was transferred to external collections.
