What's New?
Training Videos
Welcome to BASCONNECTTM, commonly referred to simply as Connect. It is a platform consisting of multiple applications used for managing elements related to medical billing.
The Help Documentation guides you through using Connect via topics which provide:
- Page, window, and field definitions
- Step-by-step guides for common system processes
- Links to helpful training videos and support documentation
- Access to current and past release notes
Connect Help is currently under construction. Additional topics are forthcoming and will be added to the site as they are written.
The latest BASCONNECTTM release is 20.1. Highlights of this release include the following:
Charge Entry
- Case Hold functionality modified to consolidate case and claim hold activities.
- The streamlined and/or modified activities include:
- Case Hold Reasons page added to Connect Admin to create case hold reasons for categorization purposes, and to associate the Case Hold Reasons to specific practices for use.
- New Case Holds tab added to Charge Batches page to open, complete, and manage case holds associated with the charge batch.
- New Case & Claim Holds tab added to the Case: [ID] page to open, complete, and manage case holds associated with the case.
- Case Hold-related fields moved from the Case / General Case Information tab to the Case & Claim Holds tab to consolidate information in a single location.
- Reordered fields on the search forms of the Cases and EDC Files tabs of the Manage > Charge Batches tab.
EMC
- New EMC interface developed for Ability Clearinghouse.
Providers
- Added new Hire Date/Term Date fields to the Admin > Providers page as well as the Connect Standard Extract.
Reports
- Added the following fields to the Payment Analysis Detail report:
- Patient DOB
- Member Number
- Group Number
- Claim ID
- Control Number
- Rendering Provider NPI
- ERA
- Case Reporting Type
- Added new Case Hold Detail report to Connect and Portal Reports.
- The 2020 AQI XML Schema updates were added.
