There are two tabs on the Role: [name] page:

There are two forms of the page. The fields and information displayed are identical between the two, but the pages are used for different functions:

  • The Role: New / General Information tab is used to set the access and view rights to functionality and reports for the Connect applications.
  • The Role: [name] / General Information tab is used to modify a role by changing access to certain rights and reports.

To open the Role: New / General Information tab:

From the Home Page:
From the Menus:
Via Shortcut Keys: 
  1. Click Roles from the Security list.
  2. Click Create.
  1. Open the Security menu and select Roles.
  2. Click Create.
  • From the Roles page, press [Alt] + [C].


To open the Role: [name] / General Information tab:

  1. Click Roles from the Security list.
  2. Select the role to be modified.
  3. Click Update*.

*Alternate Navigation: Double-click the role from the list.

Contains tabs for each Connect application for which rights can be assigned. Each tab contains a list of rights to elements and actions the users may perform.

Rights can be granted to all or some of the available elements and actions.

If not granted permissions to an element or action, that element is grayed out for the user on relevant menus and pages, indicating the user cannot perform that task/action.

The rights are granted individually for each application via the available Topics:

  • Administration
  • Back Office
  • Compensation
  • Front Office
  • Reportal
  • Reports
  • Scan Center
  • Security

Description

Select All/Select None[Alt] + [E] / [Alt] + [C]Provides a convenient way to associate/disassociate all rights or roles with the selected role. The button toggles between values upon selection.
