The Payer: New and Payer: [name] pages are comprised of five tabs:

The Group IDs tab collects identification numbers issued by the payer to each provider group for general or facility-specific. Group identification numbers recorded at the payer are inherited by its plans, but can be overridden at the plan. By default, the plan inherits the group identification numbers recorded in its parent payer configuration.

Note
The Group IDs will only be generated on paper claims.

To open the Group IDs tab for new payer:

From the Home Page:	From the Menus:	Via Shortcut Keys:
Click Payers & Plans from the Admin list Click Create Payer Click the Group IDs tab	Open the Admin menu and select Payers & Plans Click Create Payer Click the Group IDs tab	From the Payers & Plans page, press [Alt] + [C] Click the Group IDs tab

To open the Group IDs tab for existing payer:

Click Payers & Plans from the Admin list
Select the payer to be modified
Click Update*
Click the Group IDs tab

*Alternate Navigation: Double-click the payer from the list

Open the Admin menu and select Payers & Plans
Select the payer to be modified
Click Update*

From the Payers & Plans page, select the payer to be modified
Press [Alt] + [U]
Click the Group IDs tab

PA Group	Free Text	No	General group ID issued by the insurance company for the physician assistant group.
CRNA Group	Free Text	No	General group ID issued by the insurance company for the CRNA group.
AA Group	Free Text	No	General group ID issued by the insurance company for the anesthesiologist assistant group.
*Selection: Facility-Specific*
Practice	Drop Down	Yes	List of practice to select to view the associated facilities.
Facility Name	Display Only (Pulled from created/updated Practices)	Yes	The list of facilities associated with the selected practice.
