The Payer: New and Payer: [name] pages are comprised of five tabs:

The Facility IDs tab collects the identification numbers issued by the payer to each provider group for general or facility-specific. Identification numbers recorded at the payer are inherited by its plans, but can be overridden at the plan.

To open the Facility IDs tab for new payer:

From the Home Page:	From the Menus:	Via Shortcut Keys:
Click Payers & Plans from the Admin list Click Create Payer Click the Facility IDs tab	Open the Admin menu and select Payers & Plans Click Create Payer Click the Facility IDs tab	From the Payers & Plans page, press [Alt] + [C] Click the Facility IDs tab

To open the Facility IDs tab for existing payer:

Via Shortcut Keys:

Click Payers & Plans from the Admin list
Select the payer to be modified
Click Update*
Click the Facility IDs tab

*Alternate Navigation: Double-click the payer from the list

Open the Admin menu and select Payers & Plans
Select the payer to be modified
Click Update*
Click the Facility IDs tab

*Alternate Navigation: Double-click the payer from the list

From the Payers & Plans page, select the payer to be modified
Press [Alt] + [U]
Click the Facility IDs tab

Specifies whether facility identification numbers are issued for general use, place of service specific, or does not issue IDs. Options include:

General Facility ID
Place of Service Specific

Selection: General Facility ID


Facility Name	Display Only (Pulled from created/updated Facilities)	Yes	The unique name of the facility.
ID Number	Free Text	No	The unique identification number issued to the facility by the payer or plan.
*Selection: Place of Service Specific*


Facility	Drop Down	Yes	List of facilities to select to view the associated Places of Service.
Place of Service	Display Only (Pulled from created/updated Facilities)	Yes	The list of place of service types that indicate where services for the facility are rendered.
ID Number	Free Text	No	The unique identification number issued to the place of service by the payer or plan.
Selection: Does Not Issue IDs
